About the Role
Athlete to Athlete is a virtual mentorship program with a mission to empower youth athletes through dedicated athletic mentorship. In our programs, youth athletes are paired with current Division I college-athlete mentors who share sport-specific expertise, foster confidence and drive performance to the next level. Our Mission is to build the next generation of confident, driven and resilient young adults by leveraging the values of athletics and the impact of positive role models.
We are seeking motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic NCAA Division 1 athletes to serve as mentors for youth athletes. In this Independent Contractor (1099) role, you will leverage your collegiate athletic experience to guide, motivate, and support youth athletes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a positive role model, both in and out of your sport, reinforcing the balance between athletics and academics
- Share your athletic journey, experiences, and advice
- Design and Lead 1-on-1 virtual mentorship sessions covering an array of topics including technique, mindset, and goal-setting
- Provide tailored feedback, drills, and accountability to help your youth athlete progress
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with athletes and families
Requirements
- Current NCAA Division 1 athlete (any sport)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate high-level skills into clear, age-appropriate guidance
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to youth development
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Must meet eligibility requirements to work as a 1099 independent contractor including proper US work authorization
