About the role
Responsible for leading youth kickboxing classes at the Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA. Encouraging physical fitness and promoting healthy lifestyles among young participants.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute kickboxing classes for children aged 6-18
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all classes
- Motivate and engage participants in a fun and supportive environment
- Adapt classes to accommodate different skill levels and interests
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Passion for youth development and fitness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Effective communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Knowledge of kickboxing techniques and safety procedures
