About the role

Responsible for leading youth kickboxing classes at the Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA. Encouraging physical fitness and promoting healthy lifestyles among young participants.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute kickboxing classes for children aged 6-18
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during all classes
  • Motivate and engage participants in a fun and supportive environment
  • Adapt classes to accommodate different skill levels and interests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Passion for youth development and fitness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Skills

  • Effective communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
  • Knowledge of kickboxing techniques and safety procedures
