About the role
The YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and experienced swim instructor to lead swimming lessons and promote healthy lifestyles in our community.
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming lessons to children and adults
- Develop lesson plans and materials
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field
- Valid lifeguard certification
- Experience teaching swimming
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to the YMCA mission and values
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
