About the role

The Indoor Cycling Instructor at the Jim & Heather Gills Branch YMCA is responsible for leading group cycling classes that promote cardiovascular fitness, strength training, and fun.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute high-energy indoor cycling classes that engage participants in a variety of workouts.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and safe for use.
• Communicate effectively with participants to provide encouragement and feedback during classes.
• Adapt classes to accommodate different fitness levels and preferences.
• Participate in staff meetings and other professional development activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Experience leading group fitness classes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• First aid certification.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire participants.
• Knowledge of indoor cycling techniques and equipment.
