About the role
Your Next Win As a YMCA Youth Sports Instructor at the W. Dale Brougher Fondation YMCA in Shrewsbury, you’ll help kids build skills, confidence, and a love of the game in a safe, high-energy setting.
Responsibilities
- Leading youth sports classes (which may include basketball, soccer, t-ball/baseball, flag football, volleyball, and floor hockey)
- Following provided program plans
- Managing groups
- Building positive connections with families
- Handling equipment set-up, care, and clean-up
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience engaging and leading children
- Fundamentals of youth sports instruction, lesson planning, and class management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain)
- Required clearances for working with youth
- Obtain Criminal background check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI fingerprint clearance

Pay
$9–$11/hour
Schedule
Part-time, onsite role runs Monday–Friday afternoons/evenings (about 3–7 pm) with occasional weekend events.
