Position Overview
As a student coordinator, you will assist with planning and leading exercise sessions focused on proper strength training, speed, agility, and fundamental movement skills. You will assist in managing and facilitating sport performance testing and data analysis. You will help create a welcoming space where kids feel motivated and safe while learning lifelong wellness habits.
We are looking for an energetic, reliable KU student who has:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for working with children
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a great opportunity for students in kinesiology, exercise science, or related fields.
Job Description
- 25% - Program development.
- 25% - Manage and analyze sport performance data collected.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents in a fitness, coaching, or youth development setting, as evidenced by application materials.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, as evidenced by application materials.
- Availability to work in the Robinson Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (12 hours), as evidenced by application materials.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and basic social media platforms, as evidenced by application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Students in KU's Exercise Science program.

- (2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
