Youth Counselors

About the role

We are seeking a Youth Counselor to join our team in Westmoreland County. Adelphoi provides a 4-week rotating schedule that includes day, afternoon, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting.
• Maintain safety and order using approved crisis-prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary.
• Participate in de-escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support.

Requirements

• Must be able to safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques.
• Stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
• Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi’s crisis intervention/restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment.

Qualifications

Compensation: $19.65-$24.80 per hour depending on education.
