Youth Counselors
Adelphoi is a major provider of counseling, residential, adoption, foster care, and educational services to youth and families throughout Pennsylvania. For over 50 years, we’ve helped thousands of families and youths across more than 20 group homes and education centers, including our central 19-acre campus in Latrobe.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting.
- Maintain safety and order using approved crisis-prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary.
- Participate in de-escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support.
Requirements
- Safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques.
- Stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift.
- Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi’s crisis intervention / restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment.
Pay
$20.25–$25.55 per hour, depending on education.
Schedule
4-week rotating schedule including day, afternoon, and weekend shifts. Daylight positions are available.
