Youth Counselor
Job Summary
The Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services (CHOR YFS) is seeking compassionate Youth Care Workers to join our PATHS Program in Breinigsville, PA. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development, behavioral health, and making a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Build supportive, trusting relationships with youth using effective communication and care strategies
- Maintain safety and security of residents and the facility
- Actively supervise youth during daily routines, recreation, academics, and community activities
- Support individualized behavioral goals in collaboration with clinical staff and case managers
- Complete accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Follow structured program policies and procedures (training provided)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of college in a social or human services-related field OR High school diploma (or equivalent) with 2+ years of documented experience working with youth
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to pass criminal history (including FBI) and child abuse clearances
- Valid driver’s license
