Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment.
• Foster a work environment where safety is a top priority with the team.
• Maintain the facility in a presentable fashion for day-to-day operations.
• Train staff to ensure their core duties are being carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
• Monitor and educate staff on vehicle enhancements to increase auction value and profitability.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding missing items, vehicle damage, and lot location.
• Recommend or perform personnel actions such as salary increases, performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive repair and general mechanical knowledge of vehicles.
• Proficiency with handheld PDAs.
• Basic operation of a forklift or loader.
• Effective communication and supportive interaction with customers and towers.
• Ability to perform activities involving stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods.
• Alertness to potential hazards and ability to respond appropriately to accidents.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations related to handling hazardous materials.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
