Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements safe work procedures related to the facility.
• Accountable for safety of crew.
• Promotes a safety culture.
• Supervises daily equipment operation for safe use, inspection, and maintenance.
• Affords assistance with the loading and offloading of material, equipment and tools.
• Ensures maintenance and accuracy of inventory tracking.
• Contributes to the development of organization plan for the effective and safe storage of equipment, material, and tools.
• Reviews repair estimates.
• Responsible for material orders and back orders.
• Responsible for communication with Procurement staff, HSE, project teams, other district departments, vendors, and trade contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Appropriate certificates required for movement of construction related-materials considered an asset.
• 5 years of supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or construction industry experience.
• Direct supervisory experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment, maintenance, and equipment operations.
• Applies effective planning and allocates resources to address shifting priorities.
• Ensures company specifications, methods, and procedures are followed. Suggests improvements to methods and procedures.
• Identifies risk and makes recommendations to mitigate.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb. without restrictions.
• Ability to safely operate forklift and other equipment to load/unload material and equipment, and mobilize in yard.

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $83,000 - $107,000 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
