Yard Foreman

About the role

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Yard Foreman to oversee all yard and shore-base operations supporting offshore logistics in Fourchon, LA. This pivotal role ensures the smooth handling of materials, equipment, and cargo, playing a vital part in the successful transportation of resources to offshore assets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee yard and shore-base operations
• Ensure compliance with cargo handling, rigging, crane operations, and load handling standards
• Manage safety practices, JSAs, and yard safety regulations
• Supervise, motivate, and coordinate diverse teams in a dynamic environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in yard operations, logistics, or materials handling, preferably within offshore oil & gas settings
• Strong knowledge of cargo handling, rigging, crane operations, and load handling standards
• Deep understanding of safety practices, JSAs, and yard safety regulations
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or vocational certification in Logistics, Warehousing, or related field is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year in yard foreman or supervisory roles; 4+ years preferred for managing complex operations and larger teams

Skills

• Experience supporting offshore logistics and shorebase operations
• Familiarity with DOT, USCG, and offshore cargo regulations
• Knowledge of inventory management systems like SAP MMCertifications in rigging, crane operations, or hazardous materials handling (NCCCO, HazMat, etc.)
• Additional certifications such as Advanced Fire Fighting, First Aid/CPR, Lifeboatman, or Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)

Pay

Schedule

12-hour shifts for 12+ months in a 7/7 rotation, with potential for overtime.
