About the role
The Seegars Fence yard/shop team plays a critical role in managing inventory, maintaining equipment, and keeping the installation crews on track. Seegars Fence Company of Augusta provides an inherently encouraging and Christian environment, offering training and feedback to help you become a safe and efficient yard agent.
Responsibilities
- Must have a positive can-do attitude daily.
- Demonstrate the Seegars Fence Company Core Values daily.
- Maintain a First Aid, CPR, safety, forklift and Bobcat certifications (and others required for equipment operation).
- Avoids unnecessary delays and works efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Assists in maintaining truck and equipment fleet.
- Maintains an orderly yard and warehouse.
- Maintains adequate supplies to perform daily work load.
- Unloads incoming materials and supplies, verifies the quantity and condition of the goods, and fills out incoming freight sheets.
- Pulls and stages materials for sold jobs in designated staging areas.
- Loads installation trucks with materials required for daily work load.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Is responsible for arriving to work on time, prepared to start immediately.
- Performs fence repairs and installations in the field as needed.
- Performs small repairs to tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must have good communication skills.

- Must have the ability to think quickly and problem solve.
- Must be familiar with typical fabrication shop tools and equipment.
- Must be able to read and comprehend basic math skills.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Inventory software experience preferred.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous manual labor required.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet SFC insurance standards for driving company vehicles.
- Must undergo a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Must update certifications annually.

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Schedule
This position offers a standard 4-day work week (4 ten hour days) with the opportunity to work overtime on Friday and Saturday as business conditions allow. This offers excellent work-life balance for our employees while providing maximum opportunity to earn additional hours as applicable.
