Yard Foreman

The Opportunity

You will serve as the central hub of our fabrication operations, directing the flow of materials that build the multifamily construction industry. This leadership role empowers you to optimize yard logistics, mentor a dedicated team, and ensure every shipment reflects our commitment to excellence.

Lead and Coordinate Yard Personnel

• Ensure maximum productivity, accountability, and strict adherence to daily production schedules.

Oversee Incoming Materials

• Verify all incoming materials to guarantee accuracy and quality against technical delivery documentation.

Manage Outgoing Shipments

• Securely package, label, and load outgoing shipments to ensure damage-free delivery to project sites.

Maintain Real-Time Inventory Records

• Keep track of all raw materials and consumables to prevent production delays and optimize stock levels.

Implement Advanced Labeling and Tracking Systems

• Ensure full material traceability throughout the entire fabrication process using advanced labeling and tracking systems.

Enforce Safety Standards

• Adhere to rigorous OSHA and company safety standards to maintain a hazard-free environment for the entire yard team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in yard or warehouse operations within a fabrication or construction environment.
• Proven experience supervising small teams with a focus on leadership and organizational efficiency.
• Demonstrated proficiency in material handling, shipping/receiving, and inventory management systems.
• Prioritization of practical experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and Moffetts.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and accurately identify various material profiles and steel types using a tape measure.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of logistics and supply chain workflows specifically for multifamily construction projects.
• Previous experience managing inventory for steel, aluminum, or precast concrete components.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex logistical problems in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.
