About the Role

The purpose of this position is to facilitate and maintain an orderly and efficient flow of inventory for the entire Fabick campus. This individual is responsible for the inflow and outflow of customer assets as well as Fabick assets across all divisions, serving the needs of multiple departments for the greater good of the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the shipping of new, used, rental, demo, and serviced customer equipment.
• Initiate and complete INSPCT templates for loss mitigation of both Fabick and customer assets.
• Receive new equipment and associated attachments per defined business processes.
• Assign, print, and attach barcodes to equipment and attachments.
• Generate and send receivers for new and used machines to the Sales Department.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of equipment for customer showcases.
• Conduct investigations to verify and resolve shipping and receiving errors.
• Comply with administrative policies, safety rules, and government regulations.
• Examine contents and compare with records (manifests, invoices, or orders) to verify accuracy of shipments.
• Take pictures of equipment to ensure all machines meet Fabick quality standards before leaving the yard; verify serial numbers, hour meter readings, attachments, and check for damage on returned equipment.
• Document and report damage immediately to the appropriate department head with supporting documentation.
• Conduct monthly physical inventory audits; ensure all equipment and attachments are barcoded and scanned.
• Reconcile inventory reports and locate missing items; communicate disparities to department heads.
• Maintain an organized yard, keeping it free from excessive debris and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum education requirement: high school diploma or GED. Technical, vocational, or trade school education desired.
• 3 or more years of experience in operating heavy machinery, shipping, receiving, and general yard duties.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to move equipment around the yard.
• Ability to manage time and multi-task with little to no supervision.
• Heavy equipment experience required.
• Exhibit a high level of urgency and ownership.

Physical Requirements

In addition to sitting, standing, walking, reading, talking, writing, and hearing, the essential functions of this job require:

• Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds (reasonable accommodations will be made where possible).
• Long periods of standing.
• Periodic exposure to seasonal heat and cold, oils and greases, noise, and outdoor working conditions.
• Shift work as needed (1st and 2nd shifts).
• Stooping, bending, squatting, or working in a prone position.
