About the role
The Yard Coordinator at Yancey Bros. Co. is responsible for managing the yard operations, including loading and unloading machinery, maintaining equipment, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading new, used, and customer equipment
- Log all incoming and exiting trucks in the yard
- Complete all receiving and transferring of attachments in the tracking system
- Check in heavy rents and customer machines
- Clean, fuel, and perform pre/post-inspections on machines
- Maintain outside facilities by organizing machines on the yard and cutting the yard with a mower
- Perform monthly inventory checks of attachments on the yard
- Deliver parts to customers and other branch locations
- Participate in required safety programs and work safely
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Basic computer skills (email, internet, data entry)
- Ability to operate different types of heavy equipment
- Organized and able to multitask
- Safety-conscious and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications
- Experience organizing an equipment yard
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
