XMT Product Owner

About the role

Gray Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Experience Modernization Team (XMT) Product Owner (PO) to define and deliver NexGen Air and Missile Defense Product Solutions. The role operates at the intersection of user research, design, and mission context, ensuring the right solutions are built by grounding every product decision in a deep, holistic understanding of real warfighter needs. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical execution and program strategy, driving the suitability of experimental capabilities for implementation into the IBCS program.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize user research, studies, and suitability evaluations in coordination with Program Management for PIs and sprints.
• Deliver technical briefings and demonstrations to leadership, offering courses of action (COAs) and impact analysis.
• Assist with the technical roadmap for implementation and integration of efforts based on maturity and suitability of design.
• Serve as a bridge between PAE Fires stakeholders, users, and the experience modernization team.
• Communicate with leadership when products are ready to push into the development process.

Requirements

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics.
• Have a minimum of 10 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing the essential duties listed above.
• Proficiency with the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence) for backlog management and the Microsoft Office toolset for professional deliverables.
• Fluency in the Microsoft Office toolset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
• Prior experience as a Product Owner of a software development SCRUM team.
• Experience leading user-centered design practices, including design of experiments, collection methods, and post-analysis (highly desirable).
• Good understanding of engineering practices within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), user research, and UX/UI design.
