Wound Care RN Nurse Needed - ONLY work Monday - Friday !

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the physical, emotional, psychological, and educational needs of residents.
  • Order, administer, and document medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing policies.
  • Transcribe/verify physician orders and coordinate testing, treatments, and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance and effectiveness of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Educate staff on wound care treatments and best practices.
  • Maintain wound care supplies and equipment at appropriate stock levels.
  • Participate in weekly wound care meetings and monthly QAPI meetings.
  • Congduct rounds with the wound care practitioner weekly.
  • Orient new nurses to wound care practices and assist with staff development.
  • Complete admission skin evaluations and timely, accurate documentation.
  • Supervise and provide direction to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
  • Organize and communicate wound care information with physicians, managers, and supervisors.
  • Adjust schedule as needed, including evenings/weekends, to meet residents’ wound care needs.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN program.
  • Current and valid PA RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience.
  • At least 1 year of wound care experience required.
