Weekend Wound Care Nurse RN
Summary/Objective
Clayton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse to join our dynamic team. This role plays a critical part in providing high-quality care to our residents.
Essential Functions
Complete a head to toe body audit on all new admissions and re-admissions.
Review residents with new skin alterations and implement necessary care plans.
Update skin sheets every 7 days and ensure care plans are updated weekly.
Provide daily education to staff on wound care, toileting, and incontinence care.
Assess residents for abnormal findings and initiate wound care when necessary.
Consult with the nursing team and assist in developing skin care treatment plans.
Administer medications within the scope of practice and maintain accurate drug logs.
Chart detailed monthly evaluations and ensure care plans are followed.
Communicate with physicians and provide wound care as needed.
Maintain a caring and respectful environment for residents.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Current State License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
CPR certified.
