About the role

The Wound Care RN at River of Life Care Center is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing comprehensive nursing care to residents. This position also involves supervising and guiding clinical staff in wound care management.

Responsibilities

  • Affords assessments, plans, implements, and evaluates ostomy care for patients on units.
  • Provides advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff regarding wound care, including drainage, confinement, skin protection, and pressure necrosis prevention.
  • Develops and conducts educational programs for staff to enhance wound care knowledge.
  • Determines appropriate nursing interventions for resident issues, symptoms, and teaching needs.
  • Develops and implements a patient care plan, selecting the stoma site based on patient anatomy, activity level, and lifestyle.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Two years of nursing experience preferred.
