WOUND CARE REGISTERED NURSE, Full Time
Job Summary
This Wound Care Registered Nurse opportunity is full-time, offers full benefits, and has a convenient day shift schedule.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinates treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the organization.
- Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies.
- Is a resource person for physicians, wound team and clinical staff.
- Able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
- Participates in performance improvement plan of the organization.

Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that excels at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. The system includes Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, and Sierra Medical Center, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2022. The system also provides primary care services and a wide range of specialty care through Northern Nevada Medical Group. Additional outpatient services are provided at Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center.

Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current state Registered Nurse Licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in medical/surgical, rehabilitation nursing
- Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) or Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) preferred
- Current BLS certification
