Wound Care Physician

About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a part-time Wound Care Physician for practice in Cedar Rapids, IA. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy and flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound management in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Training

• Physician level wound management training provided
• Wound fellowship program available
• Paid Training provided during onboarding plus 6 months wound care fellowship
• Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors

Practice Details

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
