Wound Care Physician

About the Role

Join a national wound physician group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance. This part-time position in Rome, NY provides an opportunity to become an expert in wound management with training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors. Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities while delivering bedside wound care in post-acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily.
• Perform clinical documentation in real-time during rounds using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Operate as a mobile practice, visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state of practice (New York).
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
• No work visa sponsorship is available.

Schedule

• Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week (flexible scheduling).
• Full-time: 4–5 days per week, typically Monday–Friday (7am–4pm).
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities.
• 45-hour work week on average for full-time positions.

Pay

W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
