Wound Care Physician
About the Role
Join a national wound physician group offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with a strong focus on work-life balance. This part-time position in Utica, NY provides no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. The role involves weekly wound rounds at each facility, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day across 2-3 facilities. This is a mobile practice, with physicians visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location.
Clinical documentation is completed at the point of care in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship to ensure clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in wound management through training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
- Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at assigned facilities.
- Treat 20-30 patients per day across 2-3 facilities.
- Complete clinical documentation in real-time during rounds using a proprietary EMR.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice (New York).
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
- W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship is available).
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm), 4-5 days per week.
- Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week, with no call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
Pay
W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
