Wound Care Physician

About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a part-time Wound Care Physician in Atlanta, GA. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Provide bedside wound care in the post-acute care setting, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Georgia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship available)

Training

• Physician-level wound management training provided
• Wound fellowship during onboarding plus 6 months
• Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Paid training provided during onboarding + 6-month wound care fellowship

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role (also available): 4–5 days per week, Monday–Friday (7am–4pm)
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities

Compensation & benefits

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
