Wound Care Physician

Part-Time Wound Care Physician position with National Wound Physician Group in Springfield, IL. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in the post-acute care setting (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals)
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Training provided

• Physician-level wound management training from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Wound fellowship during onboarding plus 6 months
• Access to cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
• Paid training provided during onboarding + 6-month wound care fellowship

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Illinois
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week
• Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday (7am–4pm)
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
