About the role

As a Workplace Mental Health Consultant, you will provide individual therapy, management consultations, training, critical incident response, and assessment and referral support to employees at Nestlé/Purina. You will also consult with HR, program managers, and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to managers, people teams, and members onsite one day per week (Tuesdays: 8am-5pm CST in St. Louis, MO).
  • Deliver individual therapy to employees onsite and virtually.
  • Provide solution-focused employee mental health consultation and connection to appropriate resources.
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with leaders and HR POCs across 9 local sites and execute local action plans.
  • Deliver critical incident response and company-tailored trainings and Spring Health benefit promotion events.
  • Develop expert-level understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Complete required internal training, attend Spring Health Clinical Team meetings, and follow all policies while maintaining confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor and track data to recommend and carry out proactive interventions at a leadership level.
  • Assess for risk and manage member and organizational crises, including in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow-up.
  • Provide management consultation to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness.
  • Complete management referral intakes, ensure appropriate placement, and guide EAP protocols.
  • Coordinate follow-up with treatment providers and HR/managers, ensuring necessary paperwork and signed releases are in place.
  • Provide follow-up to monitor employee compliance and feedback to supervisors and HR/managers.
  • Identify and problem-solve barriers to care with support from leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation meeting risk management and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in case review processes with the customer’s leadership team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience with at least 1 year as an independently licensed clinician.
  • Training and experience in delivering management consultation, critical incident response, and training presentations.
  • Comfort with technology and telehealth competence.
  • Training and experience in evidence-based modalities, including short-term, solution-focused therapy.
  • Unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in Virginia, Maryland, and DC (e.g., Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC).
  • Experience with substance abuse; SAP or SAE Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting customers/clients adhering to specific state and/or federal regulations (DOT and FERC experience preferred).
  • Comfort providing safety planning and intervention for higher-risk clients.
  • Commitment to high-quality, timely documentation of service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently while valuing team support, collaboration, and connection with other providers and clinical care navigators.

Pay

The target salary for this position is $85–$95 per hour. Individual pay may vary based on experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
