About the role

The Workplace Mental Health Consultant role at Spring Health is a unique and exciting opportunity to provide mental health support to employees. This role is full-time and based in Wichita, KS, with virtual/remote Fridays. The consultant provides consultation and support to managers, people teams, and members to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness. They also provide management consultation, assess for recovery plans, monitor the drug-free workplace referral process, deliver critical incident response services, conduct trainings, and facilitate Spring Health benefit promotion events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and support to managers, people teams, and members to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness
  • Conduct assessment to determine Service Agreement and Recovery Plans for referred employees
  • Monitor employees’ engagement in the mandatory Drug Free Workplace referral process
  • Deliver critical incident response services
  • Conduct trainings and facilitate Spring Health benefit promotion events
  • Develop expert-level understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs
  • Provide solution-focused employee mental health counseling, consultation, support, and connection to appropriate resources
  • Complete required internal training and assignments and attend Spring Health Clinical Team meetings
  • Follow Spring Health policies and maintain all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards
  • Absorb and manage member and organizational crises by providing in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow up
  • Identify and problem-solve issues that create barriers or disruption to care, with support from leadership
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements
  • Other responsibilities as they pertain to the success of this role

Requirements

  • An unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in the state of Kansas (Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, etc.)
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience with at least 1 year experience as an independently licensed clinician
  • EAP experience
  • SAP qualified preferred
  • CEAP certification preferred
  • Supervisory experience and/or experience working with management and human resource professionals preferred
  • Demonstrated SUD experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations (bilingual preferred)
  • Knowledge of healthcare settings and community resources
  • Tech and computer savvy: comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms and efficient in tech-related tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You have been trained and have experience in delivering management consultation, management referrals, critical incident response, and EAP presentations
  • You have training and experience in evidence-based modalities of care, including short-term, solution-focused therapy
  • You are comfortable with providing safety planning and intervention during situations where a client might present with higher risks
  • You are committed to high quality documentation of service delivery that is completed in a timely manner
  • You like working independently but would also enjoy having the support of a team and opportunities for connections and collaboration with other providers and our master’s level clinical care navigators
  • Experience working with union populations and understanding unique unionized manufacturing workplace cultures is preferred

Qualifications

  • Target salary for FT range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000
  • Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations
  • We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay

$85,000 - $95,000

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Friday, virtual/remote from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
