Workplace Mental Health Consultant (4 Days Per Week On-Site)

About the role

This full-time Workplace Mental Health Consultant (Onsite EAP Counselor) provides EAP counseling, management consultations, program promotion, critical incident response, and training to employees. You will also case manage mandatory Drug Free Workplace referrals and conduct expatriate readiness interviews, while consulting with HR, program managers, and supervisors on workplace and organizational issues. The role reports to the Spring Health Clinical Manager and operates onsite in Wichita, KS Monday through Thursday, and virtually/remotely on Fridays (Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and support to managers, people teams, and members to enhance employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness.
• Conduct assessments to determine Service Agreements and Recovery Plans for referred employees.
• Monitor employees’ engagement in the mandatory Drug Free Workplace referral process.
• Deliver critical incident response services.
• Conduct trainings and facilitate Spring Health benefit promotion events.
• Develop expert-level understanding of the customer benefit ecosystem and available support programs.
• Provide solution-focused employee mental health counseling, consultation, support, and connection to appropriate resources.
• Complete required internal training and assignments; attend Spring Health Clinical Team meetings.
• Follow Spring Health policies and maintain all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
• Assess for risk and manage member and organizational crises by providing in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow-up.
• Identify and problem-solve issues that create barriers or disruption to care, with support from leadership.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements.
• Other responsibilities as they pertain to the success of this role.

Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice psychotherapy in the state of Kansas (Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, etc.); no licensed supervision required.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience with at least 1 year as an independently licensed clinician.
• EAP experience; SAP qualification and CEAP certification preferred.
• Supervisory experience and/or experience working with management and human resource professionals preferred.
• Demonstrated SUD (Substance Use Disorder) experience.
• Experience working with diverse populations (bilingual preferred).
• Knowledge of healthcare settings and community resources.
• Tech-savvy: comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms; efficient in tech-related tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Training and experience in delivering management consultation, management referrals, critical incident response, and EAP presentations.
• Training and experience in evidence-based modalities of care, including short-term, solution-focused therapy.
• Comfortable providing safety planning and intervention during high-risk client situations.
• Commitment to high-quality, timely documentation of service delivery.
• Ability to work independently while enjoying team support and collaboration with other providers and clinical care navigators.
• Experience working with union populations and understanding unique unionized manufacturing workplace cultures is preferred.

Pay

The target salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $95,000. Individual pay may vary based on factors including experience, location, and internal pay equity.
