Working Foreperson – Paquette Arena at Leddy Park
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to preserve all substantive info, no boilerplate. Remove union affiliation? It's metadata; we can fold into short
. Pay grade and hourly range: Pay Grade 16: $31.70 - $35.33 Hourly. That's pay info, so we need a Pay section. Also Remote Tier 1: Zero days remote/week -> schedule? Actually remote info is schedule? It's remote work expectation. Could be Schedule? But schedule is about work hours; remote is location. Might be better to include in a short paragraph under About the role or maybe a separate "Work Arrangement" but not required headings. We only include headings when there is real specific content. Pay and Schedule we have: Pay info present, so include Pay heading. Schedule: The posting mentions ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays, regular attendance necessary. That's schedule info. So we can include Schedule heading. Benefits: Not mentioned explicitly. No benefits listed. So we should not create Benefits heading. Skills: Could be derived from qualifications but we have Qualifications section. Could also have Skills but we can combine. The instruction: prefer few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we can have About the role (General Purpose), Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions + maybe Non-Essential?), Requirements (Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements). Possibly also Skills separate? But we can put skills within Qualifications. However they said use headings for Skills if there is content. We have many skill-like statements: ability to operate equipment, etc. Could be under Skills. But we already have Qualifications covering experience, education, certifications. Skills could be abilities. To avoid thin sections, maybe combine Qualifications and Skills into one "Qualifications" section that includes both experience and abilities. That's acceptable. Thus sections: About the role (General Purpose), Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions), Requirements (Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements), Pay, Schedule. We need to use
for each heading. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. For prose use
.
We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID etc.
We need to preserve all substantive info: Let's extract.
General Purpose: "This position is responsible for providing on-site leadership, direction and technical expertise to crewmembers engaged in the maintenance and upkeep of the Gordon Paquette Arena at Leddy Park."
We can keep that as paragraph.
Union Affiliation and Pay Grade etc: We'll fold into short p maybe after About the role? But we have Pay section separate for pay grade. Union affiliation maybe not needed but could be included in About the role paragraph? It's metadata; we can include a short p after About the role: "Union Affiliation: American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). Pay Grade 16: $31.70 - $35.33 Hourly. Remote Tier 1: Zero days remote/week." But we have Pay and Schedule sections; remote info could go under Schedule? Actually remote is about remote work days. Could be part of Schedule or Work Arrangement. Since we have Schedule heading for work hours, we could put remote info under Schedule as well. But better to keep Schedule for work hours (evenings, weekends, holidays). Remote info could be a separate short p under About the role or maybe under a "Work Arrangement" but we don't have heading for that. We'll just include it in About the role paragraph after the purpose.
Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions list many items. We'll turn each sentence into
- . Need to preserve all details. Also Non-Essential Functions: "Other duties as assigned, including operation of various types of equipment, including but not limited to special duties for any City programs and departments on a seasonal or project basis." That's also a responsibility but non-essential; we can include as a list item.
Requirements: Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements list many bullet-like sentences. We'll turn each into
- . Also include "Ability to actively support City diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts..." etc.
We must not include boilerplate like EEO statement, application instructions, accessibility info, etc. Remove those paragraphs at end.
Now craft HTML.

We also need to include remote info? Already included in About the role paragraph. That's fine.
Check for any duplicated lines: We have Pay repeated in About the role and Pay section. The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. It's okay to have duplicate? Might be considered duplication but we need to preserve info. Could we avoid duplication by moving pay info only to Pay section and not repeat in About the role? But About the role currently includes pay grade and remote tier. If we remove it, we lose that info from About the role. However we could keep About the role just the purpose sentence, and put union affiliation, pay grade, remote in a short p after About the role but before Responsibilities. But we have no heading for that; we could just include a p with that metadata. That would avoid duplication. Let's do that.
