About the role
The Workforce Development Representative provides basic career services and CareerForce information to job seekers through one-on-one appointments and group instruction, with priority on serving Unemployment Insurance applicants and Veterans. This position is based out of the CareerForce in Blaine, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Provide career guidance and resources to job seekers, assisting them in making informed career choices.
- Instruct career seekers on establishing accounts, creating or posting resumes, and conducting job searches on Careerforce.mn.gov.
- Offer training on resume writing, interview skills, and other employment-related workshops.
- Conduct outreach activities to increase awareness of CareerForce programs and services.
- Inform job seekers and businesses about technical resources to assist in securing employment and successful recruitment.
- Assist businesses in accessing CareerForce services.
- Assist job seekers in the Career Lab with troubleshooting LoginMN and CareerForce online accounts, employment applications, and resumes.
- Document notes and services by required deadlines using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Careerforce.mn.gov.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience in a role providing employment and training services, case management, or a similar role as determined by the agency.
- Skill in developing and presenting workshops for adult career seekers, offered both virtually and in person.
- Strong communication skills to connect career seekers with workforce training opportunities.
- Ability to form and grow connections with community partners such as educational institutions, employers, and supportive services.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and goals.
- Organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, counseling, or a closely related field.
- Experience using Careerforce.mn.gov, SharePoint, Webex, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Experience providing career guidance and coaching.
- Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Pay
$26.12 - $37.91 / hourly
$54,538 - $79,156 / annually
Schedule
Day Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Monday - Friday
