Workday Payroll Consulting Manager - AMS

For our client, we are seeking a Workday Payroll Consulting Manager - AMS to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will guide payroll support and optimization efforts for clients, with a focus on complex issue resolution and sustainable service delivery. The position partners closely with client stakeholders to improve payroll processes, strengthen configuration outcomes, and support ongoing managed services operations. In this consulting environment, you will help organizations maximize their payroll investment while serving as a trusted advisor on business process and technical payroll matters. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $135,000 – $165,000 annually Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders on payroll-related business processes Lead complex payroll support activities and troubleshoot payroll-related issues Deliver configuration enhancements and drive continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with clients to optimize their Workday Payroll investment Perform root cause analysis to provide sustainable solutions for complex issues Qualifications 5+ years of experience with Workday Payroll in production or AMS environments Subject matter expert in payroll configuration, tax setup, garnishments, and compliance Hands-on experience with troubleshooting payroll issues and delivering sustainable solutions Proven analytical skills in payroll and business requirements with a client-facing focus In-depth understanding of North American payroll operations and tax regulations Experience supporting optimization and issue resolution in managed support models Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Wellness programs available for employees Annual incentive compensation program Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
