Overview Be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Work Week Manager and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Responsibilities Succesful cadidate will be responsible for the development of a rolling work schedule based on a T-4 scheduling strategy in support of work at the Waste Isolation Pilot Project in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This includes but is not limited to assisting in the development of the outage scheduling periods based on operational status, equipment status, and available resource, development of a T-4 schedule that factors in logical grouping of Preventative Maintenance (e.g., calibrations, preventative maintenance) and Correct Maintenance, plant upgrades and plant modification work, leading T-1 schedule meetings to ensure at-risk work is minimized, providing oversight and management of T-0 delivery weeks, and development of performance metrics summarizing delivery week performance. Bachelor’s degree, orAssociate’s degree with four (4) years of experience, orHigh School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of experience is required.Must be 18 years of age.Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without SIMCO visa sponsorship now or in the future.Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP Site (even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge).Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concerns—including sensitive countries, state sponsors of terrorism, countries of risk, and other designated countries –are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access. Preferred Requirements Two (2) years in an Operations or Maintenance role is preferred. Previous Work Planning/Scheduling experience is a plus.Knowledge and experience with the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CHAMPS) and project scheudling is desired. Previous experience with P6 and Cycle Planning is preferred. Salary range: $70,972 to $123,573 per year --the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
