Job Summary
The Work Week Manager is responsible for safe and effective preparation and execution of the weekly integrated Station Schedule during all modes of operation. Responsibilities include coordination, release, and orchestration of work activities, risk assessment, and communication with various work groups.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordination, release, and orchestration of work activities aligned by week.
- Effective prioritization and incorporation of emergent work.
- Identification of clearance requirements, impacts, and effects of work, and required post-maintenance and surveillance testing.
- Post-work week assessment of implementation.
- Daily interface and leadership among multiple station and corporate work groups.
- Coordination of work activities between various work groups to minimize equipment out of service time, maintain safety system availability, and improve productivity.
- Communication to station management of concerns with work activities to ensure prompt attention.
- Development and implementation of System Outage Windows (SOWs) and Voluntary Limiting Condition Operations (VLCOs).
- Performing on-line risk assessments and identifying risk management activities.
- Coordinating Forced Outage Review Team (FORT) callouts and work group callouts.
- Evaluation of emergent work activities, adjustment of priorities, risk assessments, and risk management activities as required.
- Reviewing work documents for personnel safety, impacts, effects to the plant, technical specification applicability, post-maintenance testing, and operability testing.
- Maintaining and improving qualifications and proficiency for duties and responsibilities associated with the requirements of Discipline Scheduler.
- Using Corrective Action and Self-Assessment processes, including quality resolution of assigned action items, support of RCA teams, and Self Assessments such as After-Action Reviews (AAR).
- Participation in station committees/meetings: Daily Station Status Meeting, Daily Work Classification and Screening Meeting, Schedule Update/Work Reconciliation Meeting, AR/CR Screening Team, T+1 Work Week Evaluation Meeting (Report Card Meeting), FORT Team, and other committees as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BE (or Equivalent Experience) or 3 years commercial nuclear experience.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required.
- Ability to physically respond and have unescorted access to SSES.
- Basic knowledge of nuclear plant operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internal Hire: 5 years on-site experience, knowledge of Susquehanna processes, familiarity with roles and responsibilities, established communication skills, and demonstrated leadership skills.
- External Hire: 5 years experience at another nuclear facility with operations, maintenance, engineering, or work management experience, established communication skills, established leadership skills.
- Junior Work Week Manager: 5 years experience at another nuclear facility, demonstrated leadership skills, familiarity with work management process, P-6 - develop work windows, logic ties, and resource manpower loading, knowledge of work implementation and Work Management Process, PRA – Probability Risk Assessment Tool.
- Senior Work Week Manager: BS/BE (or Equivalent Experience), valid Pennsylvania driver's license required, ability to physically respond and have unescorted access to SSES, extensive knowledge of nuclear plant operations, previous or current Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification, or +5 years non-licensed operating experience and demonstrated leadership, +5 years supervisory experience in relevant department, established communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, familiarity with work management process, P-6 - develop work windows, logic ties, and resource manpower loading, knowledge of work implementation and Work Management Process, PRA – Probability Risk Assessment Tool.
