Woodlands 02 (Market) Dairy - Customer Service Rep - Part time
Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while providing superior customer service. You'll stock and properly rotate products on a daily basis, while maintaining all department and safety / sanitation standards.
- Stocks and rotates items as needed
- Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
- Organizes, cleans, and prepares back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
- Organizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable to the public
- Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage in department; may create / prepare signage, as needed
- Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
- Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged product to ensure freshness and quality of products
- Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays
- Performs the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed
Customer Service
Provides superior customer service, answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections; helps customers locate store merchandise.
Sales
Merchandises product effectively and uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
Food Safety / Sanitation
Cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment, and properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment. Complies with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.
Qualifications
Age Requirement: 18+, HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent) - Required. Strong customer service skills, communication and interpersonal skills, reading and writing skills, and planning and organizing skills are required.
Skills
Department-specific skills may include:
- Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids
- Drugstore / General Merchandise: Knowledge of products and ability to prepare tags and signs as needed
- Grocery: Ability to organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
- Texas Backyard: Passion for outdoors and ability to complete Green Thumb training
- Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio / video field and knowledge of specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Function in a fast-paced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasks. Work with Customers, staying attentive to their needs. Physical demands vary by department, but may include:
- Constantly reaching at waist, grasping, standing, walking, and pivoting
- Frequently standing, walking, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, stooping, and pushing / pulling with arms
- Occasionally sitting, reaching at overhead, reaching at floor, bending, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, twisting, and being exposed to cold, loud noise, and wet conditions
