About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wireless Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the telecom industry, with a strong grip on wireless technologies and wireless surveys. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing wireless systems to meet customer needs and ensure high-quality network performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Implementation: Design wireless systems to improve cellular network coverage and capacity. Conduct integration and optimization of new systems into the wireless network.

  • Wireless Surveys: Perform predictive, passive, AP on a stick and active site surveys using tools like Ekahau and iBwave for enterprise customers. Generate various heatmaps (Signal Strength, SNR, CCI, Capacity) to meet design requirements.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and system design information. Review network measurements and captures, providing KPI Analysis Reports.

  • Troubleshooting: Use protocol and spectrum analyzers, as well as diagnostic tools like AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer and AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer, to troubleshoot and resolve wireless issues.

  • System Design: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) including costs for Access Points, Switches, Licenses, Gateways, Racks, UPS, etc.

  • Technology Deployment: Update existing system designs for capacity growth and new technology deployment. Design Distributed Antenna System Networks for high-capacity venues using iBwave propagation tools.

  • Post-Processing: Perform post-processing of WCDMA, LTE, and 5G log files using Gladiator Pro G-Station.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent.

  • 5 years of experience in the telecom industry.

  • Professional certifications in relevant fields.

  • Expertise in convergence solutions (Wi-Fi, Cellular, IoT, and Private Networks).

  • Proficiency in using Ekahau, iBwave, AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer, and AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP)

  • Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer (ECSE)

  • iBwave Level 1 and Level 2 Certification

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Wireless

Optional Certifications and Trainings

  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)

  • Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP)

  • Certified Wireless Design Professional (CWDP)

  • Certified Wireless Analysis Professional (CWAP)

  • Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE)

  • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX)

  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Wireless

  • CompTIA Network+

  • Certified Wireless IoT Solutions Professional (CWIoT)

  • Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX)

  • Training in Gladiator Pro G-Station for post-processing of log files

  • Training in AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer and Spectrum Analyzer

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with designing wireless systems for major carriers and high-capacity venues.

  • Familiarity with LTE design requirements (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, Best server).

  • Ability to review 3D models for accurate design in complex venues.
