Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot integrations between applications and shop‑floor equipment.
- Provide technical solutions for problems within existing applications.
- Create application documentation, including accurate support documentation for support teams.
- Work with stakeholders to plan, schedule, and supervise all application maintenance.
- Develop and implement continuous‑improvement activities.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify project business value and guide the creation of multiple, interrelated functional specifications and their translation to IT design requirements.
- Coordinate, follow up, and secure accurate testing in the appropriate areas.
- Define and review requirements and use cases for the applications.
- Perform technical design of configuration, build objects, reports, and interfaces according to business requirements.
- Assist in coding, bug‑fixing, and minor new development.
- Participate in on‑call rotation supporting multi‑shift operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s (or foreign equivalent) degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience working as an engineer or analyst.
- 3 years of experience with each of the following technology groups:
- Operating Systems: Unix, Windows, OpenVMS
- Programming Languages & Frameworks: Java, SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Log4J, RESTful services
- Web Technologies: JSP, Servlets, SAX/DOM, JSON, Web Services, JSTL, JDBC, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, ReactJS
- Messaging & Integration: Apache, Kafka, MQ
- Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3), Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DB2
- Application Servers: Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic
- Experience working in automotive manufacturing.
