Responsibilities
- Review customer ticket and accurately determine appropriate size reel and type, size and color of wire needed to complete order
- Correctly measure and cut wire to customer specifications.
- Properly label all completed wire cuts with applicable information, including customer label.
- Unload empty reels and reload new reels onto wire machine
- Restock and replenish wire on wire cutting racks
- Maintain organization and housekeeping of wire room area
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise safety while carrying out all job responsibilities.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The ability to stand and walk for the full length of the assigned shift.
- The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment.
- The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties.
- The ability to safely operate appropriate powered industrial trucks. Training will be provided.
- This job is performed in a large distribution center warehouse environment.
