We are hiring a Wire Cutter to join our team!
What You’ll Do
- Selects, pulls and cuts appropriate lengths and types of wire based on customer order.
- Verifies the accuracy of the wire cuts.
- Logs wire cuts.
- Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.
- Uses computer to enter records into the wire management system.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year or more related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & percentages) accurately & quickly
- Computer literacy and data entry skills
- Full-time experience working with Eclipse Software is a bonus
- Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
Physical Demands
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
- Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
- Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
- Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
- Occasionally, may be required to lift items greater than 75lbs with assistance.
