About the role

The Wholesale Activation Manager (Telesales) is responsible for driving wholesale and retail execution through high-impact phone outreach, virtual engagement, and coordinated activation with key distributor partners. This role supports both new and legacy brands within the STG-Lane LTD tobacco portfolio by influencing product distribution, strengthening reseller relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of trade programs across assigned markets. The position focuses on building strong connections with wholesaler sales teams, increasing brand visibility, and ensuring retail acceptance through consistent communication, program follow-through, and data-driven activation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive short- and long-term wholesale and retail activation through structured telesales outreach with key distributor partners.
  • Ensure product distribution, placement, and pull-through by coordinating with wholesaler sales teams and monitoring retail execution remotely.
  • Represent STG-Lane Ltd in all sales activation initiatives, including virtual trade events, pre-book programs, and retail engagement campaigns.
  • Maintain a targeted list of accounts aligned to each partner wholesaler to support focused activation.
  • Influence brand visibility and product availability by supporting program execution and ensuring compliance with planograms and promotional priorities.
  • Manage allocation of POS assets and promotional materials, ensuring proper deployment through wholesaler channels and retail partners.
  • Conduct post-activation follow-ups, gather performance insights, and report results to the National Sales Manager.
  • Conduct remote wholesale and retail pricing surveys to ensure competitive positioning and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 10 years tobacco industry experience, including wholesale management
  • Currently residing within the Southeast region of US (Central Time Zone)
  • Ability to problem solve and think critically
  • Ability to plan/organize/implement
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Exhibit entrepreneurial thinking skills; solution-based thinking
  • Exhibit willingness to adapt to various wholesale and retail audiences

Travel Requirements

Position is home-based. Estimated travel ≤20%, including occasional overnight stays for key meetings, trainings, or trade events.
