WFH Medical Assistant - Cardiology

MaxHealth is looking to hire a full-time, fully remote Medical Assistant to conduct daily interactions with a positive and organized attitude, effectively modeling the organization's service philosophy and values.

Responsibilities

• Support our Virtual Cardiologist in all requirements of a medical office
• Schedule patients and prepare charts
• Assist patients in joining virtual visits electronically
• Accurately and efficiently document medical information
• Carry out physician orders
• Troubleshoot technical issues for patients
• Perform clinical and administrative tasks, including quality assurance, customer service, and participation in planning and development activities
• Follow defined policies and procedures
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, and physician staff

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant school/training program
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (3+ years of experience preferred)
• Experience in a Cardiology practice preferred
• Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of OSHA safety procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and EMR software systems
• Ability to cross-train in other areas of clerical support
• Ability to take initiative and resolve patient care issues independently or with assistance
• BLS certification required

Pay

Starting salary: $20.00 per hour

Schedule

Normal hours of operation are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST.
