About the role

As our Catering & Convention Services Manager, you’ll drive catering and food and beverage sales while ensuring our hotel delivers unforgettable events. You’ll build relationships with clients and groups, meet revenue goals, and create standout experiences for meeting planners and guests. This position is overtime eligible; overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Achieve meeting planner goals and food & beverage sales targets while maintaining high guest satisfaction.
• Build and nurture client relationships, conduct property tours, and engage in local community events.
• Stay ahead of market trends and introduce innovative ideas to enhance events.
• Foster a positive environment for guests and colleagues, attend key meetings, and support hotel operations.
• Ensure flawless execution of banquet event orders, communicate changes promptly, and elevate every celebration.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Creativity and knowledge of food and beverage/events, with professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) desired.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, persuade, and influence clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use; ability to manage multiple tasks independently and deliver effective presentations.
