About the role

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented professional to join our team as a West Coast Sales Manager at VSS Macropaver. This position is based in the Central CA region and covers the West Coast including California, Arizona, Nevada, and surrounding states.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospective customers and promote Stepp Mfg., Kasi Infrared, and VSS Macropaver product lines within your designated municipal sales territory.
  • Build relationships, generate leads, and drive sales growth by matching municipal customers with equipment solutions that meet their needs.
  • Establish a customer database and build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
  • Travel within the sales territory to meet with prospects and customers, conduct cold-calls and face-to-face meetings, supply sales literature and Stepp product specifications, and write bid specifications.
  • Attend area trade shows and become involved with area associations such as APWA, MSSA, etc.
  • Schedule equipment demonstrations with new and repeat customers, provide quality customer service and after-sales support, and answer sales and technical questions.
  • Deliver products sold to customers and provide customer training.
  • Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer’s specific needs.
  • Participate in the Company’s continuous improvement efforts by offering feedback and suggestions for developing and improving new and existing products.

Requirements

  • Must have experience selling machinery / equipment (snowplows, tractors, sweepers, sewer trucks, pavers, etc.).
  • Preferred some experience selling to the municipal market (cities, states, counties).
  • Preferred some asphalt industry experience / background.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
