About the role
The Health & Well-being team at Emory University supports the entire Emory enterprise, delivering in-person programming and fostering a culture of health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Promotes a culture of health and well-being addressing the population's health needs.
- Works closely with the team to create integrated programming improving awareness of health and well-being issues.
- Assists in answering questions about Healthy Emory and well-being programs.
- Identifies opportunities to integrate the five dimensions of well-being into Emory's culture.
- Collaborates with leaders to drive engagement in well-being activities.
- Collaborates with Well-being Specialists to enhance the well-being champion network and provide support.
- Implements and coordinates project milestones and deadlines.
- Escalates concerns within the organization and drives issue resolution.
- Facilitates and coordinates virtual and onsite health education programs and events.
- Aids in the implementation of onsite health promotion programs, including biometric screenings and flu shots.
- Utilizes vendor resources to meet program objectives and support employees and spouses.
- Attends health events as requested.
- Supports the hosting of well-being champion meetings and monitors the department calendar and inbox.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- One or more health-related certifications preferred (e.g., well-being, personal trainer, dietitian, nutrition).
- Excellent time management, communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems is desirable.
