About the role
The Weldment Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting weldments to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect weldments for defects and non-conformities using various inspection tools and techniques.
- Document findings and discrepancies in inspection reports.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve issues and improve quality control processes.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new inspection methods and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance or inspection.
- Proficiency in using inspection equipment such as gauges, calipers, and measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of welding processes and materials.
- Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
