Welder (Levels I, II, III, & IV)

About the role

JFT is growing and hiring Welders at multiple skill levels in Loveland, CO. All applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their experience level, and welding test performance. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with an anticipated posting close date of 7/31/26.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Independently set up welding equipment and fixtures.
• Perform complex fabrication and fit up.
• Maintain safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety rules and shop procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Able to learn and progress to the next level with within reasonable timelines.

Requirements

• Work experience in welding and fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding.
• Working knowledge of complex fabrication and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.6.
• Helpful 3G weld certification – Carbon & Stainless Steel.
• Experience reading drawings and understanding weld symbols.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Able to use a tape measure accurately and operate basic hand tools.
• Detail oriented and efficient in their work habits.

Physical Requirements

• Strength and Stamina: The job may involve lifting and moving parts or materials, typically up to 50lbs. The ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) is required.
• Manual Dexterity: Precise hand movements are necessary for handling tools, operating equipment and operating a computer.
• Visual Acuity: Good eyesight, including close vision and depth perception, is important for detailed work and inspecting finished parts.
• Mobile: Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching is required, along with the ability to maneuver around machinery and equipment.
• Cordination: The role requires good hand-eye coordination to operate equipment safely and effectively.
• Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors.

Typical Working Conditions

This job requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This role requires immediate and routine access to restricted information under federal law. Under applicable DOE orders and client contracts, non-U.S. citizens (including lawful permanent residents) may require an approved DOE Foreign National Visit/Assignment (FNVA) before starting work. Because this position requires immediate access, JFT cannot initiate or sponsor new FNVA processes.
