Responsibilities
- Proficient use of hand and power tools used to prepare parts for welding.
- Complete routine machine maintenance.
- Clean welding machines and work area to maintain safe working conditions.
- Inspect and measure machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using standard measuring tools.
- Replace cutting tools and grinding tools as required to maintain part quality requirements.
- Deburr work pieces as required.
- Clean parts as required.
- Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, manuals or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.
- Determine the sequence of operations and setup requirements to build work piece to specifications.
- Working knowledge of processes and needed parameters for the efficient welding of materials including proper welding machine configuration.
- Working knowledge of the welding characteristics of ferrous metals, (Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Hastalloy etc.) non-ferrous metals (Aluminum, Copper, Brass, etc).
- Capable of fabricating tooling and fixtures required to properly locate and hold parts during welding operations.
Qualifications
- Welder Level 1: 1-2 years similar welding experience in a precision manufacturing environment
- General mechanical skills.
- Basic blue print skills including basic knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding the following materials; Stainless Steel, Aluminum, low carbon steel, and high carbon steel.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: welders/ oxyfuel, forklift, and grinders.
- Proficient ability to work as a team
- Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
- High school diploma or GED
- Welder Level 2: Minimum of 5 Years welding experience using MIG, TIG, Ox/Acetelyne, and Short Arc (stick) techniques.
- Good math skills
- General mechanical skills.
- Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work as a team
- Basic blueprint skills including basic knowledge of AWS welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding the following materials; Stainless Steel, Aluminum, low carbon steel, and high carbon steel.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: welders/ oxyfuel, forklift, and grinders.
- High school diploma or GED
Pay and Benefits
- $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
