Pay
$24 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift premium and an additional $1 shift differential.

3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM.

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding.
- Follow manufacturing information, bills of material, and written/oral instructions.
- Determine necessary parts, inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
- Assist other sheet‑metal fabricators/operators as required.
- Deliver material to/from workstations using material‑handling equipment and position work material on the work surface.
- Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach the next process in a timely fashion.
- Operate spot welders and interface with robotic welding equipment.
- Prepare components by wiping, degreasing, de‑burring, or grinding.
- Collect and place scrap in appropriate containers.
- Operate arc welders, cutting torches, power grinders, sanders, hand tools, bandsaws, drills, temporary fixturing devices, jigs, and other metal‑fabrication equipment as directed.
- Inspect parts periodically using drawings/blueprints and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate piece counts and related records; inform supervisor of any quality problems.
- Maintain equipment (e.g., welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, tooling changes) and complete maintenance check sheets.
- Perform other duties as required, including flexing to other departments.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience, or a technical diploma/certification in welding.
- Residency within 50 miles of the work location (active‑duty military exempt).
- No relocation benefit offered.
- U.S. work authorization (Eaton does not sponsor immigration for this position).
Preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience demonstrating proficiency with welding techniques, blueprint comprehension, and shop math.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Capability to move material using carts (push/pull up to 50 lb) and lift/carry up to 50 lb.
- Team player with collaborative work style.
- Willingness to participate in training opportunities.
