About the Role
We’re looking for skilled and detail-oriented individuals to join us in fabricating and repairing metal into high-quality components for our community. Whether you have experience or are eager to learn, we welcome you to contribute to our dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, drawings, or schematics to determine appropriate welding processes.
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for welding operations.
- Lift and position materials using lifting devices such as cranes and forklifts.
- Ensure quality by utilizing measuring tools and processes to perform inspections before, during, and after production, ensuring materials meet exact specifications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Maintain and organize work areas, keeping track of material inventory, performing machine maintenance, and supporting housekeeping and organizational standards, such as 5-S practices.

Qualifications
- Experience in welding is preferred but not required.

Benefits
The expected pay scale for this role is $22.62-$24.29 per hour, depending on experience, skill set, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for monthly bonuses, health, and welfare benefits, and a 401(k) match in accordance with BlueScope policies.
