Web User Experience & Security

Owns the end-to-end engineering delivery for user flows, journeys, and experience design across the web platform, ensuring experiences are intuitive, accessible, and optimized for financial professionals and policyholders.

Partners with UX design, product, and content teams to translate experience requirements into high-quality, maintainable frontend code.

Drives web accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA minimum) as a first-class engineering requirement, not an afterthought.

Owns Core Web Vitals and page performance, particularly the Policy Details page and other high-traffic customer-facing experiences, with systematic profiling, optimization, and monitoring built into the definition of done.

Establishes frontend engineering standards and component library governance in partnership with the Architecture domain.

Owns web security engineering, including authentication flows, session management, HTTPS enforcement, Content Security Policy (CSP), and input validation.

Implements and maintains security controls that meet regulatory and audit requirements for a financial services digital platform.

Ensures security is embedded in the definition of done and code reviews include security considerations and no release ships with known critical or high vulnerabilities.

Collaborates with enterprise security architects on web-specific compliance obligations and emerging threat landscapes.

Content & CMS Engineering

Owns the technical foundations of the CMS platform, infrastructure, integrations, content delivery performance, and publishing workflow engineering.

Enables non-technical content authors with reliable, well-documented publishing tools that don't require engineering intervention for standard updates.

Maintains structured content models, SEO and GEO technical foundations, and metadata standards across the platform.

Pairs with marketing and communications stakeholders to ensure content tooling meets business needs without compromising platform stability.

Engineering Leadership & Culture

Led a full-stack engineering team, recruiting, developing, and retaining engineers who can work across UI, integration, and platform layers.

Participates actively in technical decisions and conducts code reviews, challenging architectural choices and shaping solutions alongside the team rather than managing from a distance.

Establishes and enforces a strong engineering culture: code review discipline, tech debt budget per sprint, shared definition of done, and blameless post-mortems.

Runs agile ceremonies with full context on the sprint, the codebase, and the team—planning, refinement, retros, and demos that drive genuine improvement.

Owns the team's slice of the single prioritized backlog, ensuring stories are ready, sequenced, and aligned to the digital org's corporate goals and product launch timelines.

Uses delivery metrics such as velocity, lead time, cycle time, and defect escape rate as coaching tools to improve team performance, not just as reporting inputs.

Delivery & Platform Health

Delivers web platform improvements and new capabilities on schedule, within quality standards, and with minimal production incidents.

Proactively identifies and addresses technical debt, platform stability risks, and aging infrastructure, raising issues to the Architecture domain and Integration & Platform teams as needed.

Maintains SLAs for web platform availability and performance, escalating risks before they impact customers or financial professionals.
